Mr. Mark Ranford
Mark Ranford is
the founder and CEO of Stratagility. Mark graduated with a
First Class Honours degree in Mathematics and Computing, as
well as a Masters in Knowledge Systems. Working in IT and
Financial services for over 15 years, his experience spans a
broad range of roles including: knowledge engineering,
knowledge management, project management, consulting, product
management, sales and channel management. Marks last post
before founding Stratagility was at Accellion where he
effectively built a whole new line of business for the company
in the Internet Backup area. This Backup service counts two of
the worlds largest PC manufacturers as its resellers and now
represents Accellion s dominant source of revenue. His
endeavour in creating a Backup service encapsulates his bold
approach to strategy. Envisioning and then creating the future
to ones own advantage. At heart, Marks nature has always been
entrepreneurial. He thinks of himself best as an Imagineer.
His inspirations are: Senge, Prahalad & Hamel, Nonaka &
Drexler. With Stratagility, Mark is building a business that
helps others repeatedly innovate to create new business, a
capability that he terms Strategic Agility. Stratagility
offers services in Strategy, Innovation and Knowledge

Dr. Jirapun Daengdej
Dr. Jirapun Daengdej received his Ph.D.
in Computer Science from the University of New England,
Australia. He is the author of more than 30 research papers
for both international conferences and journals. His latest
publications are published in the 2005 IEEE Aerospace
conference organized by NASA. His researches include
Case-Based Reasoning, Intelligent database, Machine Learning,
Software reuse, Software quality assurance, and Software
testing.
He
also works as a consultant for a number of large IT projects.
Some of his recent works include in-house IT consultant for
Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, software quality
assurance leader for the second Bangkok international
airport's IT and X-Ray system of its cargo free zone, database
system consultant for the development of Immigration system
for both the second Bangkok international airport and their
head office, and technical consultant for NoMagic Asia
Company, the company which specialize in software development
using Object-Oriented technologies, especially Java and UML.

Professor Geoff Webb
Professor Webb is widely regarded as Australia’s leading data
mining researcher as well as one of the country’s leading data
mining practitioners. His research is grounded in theory but
guided by practical issues and problems. He has developed
numerous practical algorithms as well as contributing to
fundamental data mining theory. Many of his algorithms have
been implemented in software that is widely used
internationally. He has commercialised his exploratory rule
discovery algorithms as the Magnum Opus software
system, which is successfully marketed internationally by
Rulequest Research Pty Ltd (http://www.rulequest.com).

Professor Eric Tsui
Eric Tsui
joined Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in 1989 after years
of academic research in automated knowledge acquisition,
natural language processing, case-based reasoning and
knowledge engineering tools. His research was supported by
grants and scholarships from Arthur Young, Rank Xerox, CSC,
Graphic Directions, and the Australian Research Council. He
was also a gratis visitor to Microsoft Research in February,
2000.
Since August 2000, he has taken
up the role of Innovation Manager at Australian Mutual
Provident (AMP). Eric is responsible for strategic research,
knowledge brokering (between CSC and AMP), innovation
management and university-industry collaborations.
His research interests are on the role of
information technologies in supporting knowledge processes and
communities, the interplay between Knowledge Management and
E-Learning, and the applicable tools and skills for individual
knowledge workers (as opposed to enterprise KM). As a
recipient of CSCs Leading Edge Forum (LEF) Technology Grant
in 2002, he carried out research into Technologies for
Personal and Peer-to-Peer Knowledge Management out of which
the research report was one of the top 10 downloaded documents
from
www.csc.com
in September, 2002.
He has delivered numerous KM and Portals
presentations and workshops in Asia, Australia and the US.
In his academic capacities, Eric
has designed and delivered KM, AI, BPR, Portal, and MIS
courses at the University of Sydney, University of Technology,
Sydney, University of New South Wales, RMIT University,
University of Kentucky, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
and City University of Hong Kong. He is the program co-leader
of a forthcoming master degree in Knowledge Management to be
delivered in an online blended learning environment. He has
B.Sc. (Hons.), PhD and MBA qualifications.
As the Professor of Knowledge
Management at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Eric
operates from two bases (Sydney and Hong Kong) and spends
between 3 to 4 months per year in Asia.

Professor ChengQi Zhang
Chengqi Zhang has been a Research Professor in Faculty of Information Technology at
University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) since 2001. He received a PhD degree from
the University of Queensland, Brisbane in Computer Science and a Doctor of Science
(higher doctorate) degree from Deakin University, Australia. His research interests
include Data Mining and Multi-Agent Systems. He has published about 100 refereed
papers and three monographs, including 12 top-journal papers in Artificial Intelligence,
Information Systems and IEEE/ACM Transactions. He is the leader of Data Mining Program in
Capital Market Cooperative Research Centre and a member of UTS Research Management Committee.
He is a Senior Member of the IEEE Computer Society (IEEE), a member of Steering Committee of
PRICAI (Pacific Rim International Conference on Artificial Intelligence) and PAKDD
(Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining), serving as an Associate
Editors for three international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data
Mining, served as General Chair, PC Chair, or Organizing Chair for four international
Conferences and a member of Program Committees for many international or national conferences.
